    Checking Bluebird Boxes in July

Blue sky, warm day, wildflowers waving in the breeze

Woke up to a call for water

Sounds of my baby boy getting sick

Sleeping child on the pillow arms around his head

    Dark room

    Summer days

    Blue sky, white clouds building

    Canola fields of yellow

Typing on my phone in a dentist office

    Checking bluebird boxes

    Parade morning

    Sunny day

    10 white eggs!

    Remembering drug names,

Generic and brand, what does the doctor use, don’t appear foolish

messing up, what am I messing up

How can he suffer this much! This young!

Four dead chicks, throw them away

    Canola fields of yellow

Loud birds over the lake, so much noise, so much life!

    Sick boy at home

Cancelling plans, making plans with plans to cancel

How long can this go on

    Summer is short

    16 years of marriage today

    Dark rooms

    Summer days

What did I mess up? not enough. too much!

    Too much ibuprofen

    Five day taper of prednisone

    Last day

    Wild flowers in the wind

    Sticky geranium

    Silky lupine

    Ondansetron

    Maybe you can eat something?

You need to eat something with the meds.

    Silky lupin standing tall

    Diving tree swallows

    19

    Five tree-swallow young

    20

Two adult bluebirds on the barbed wire

    NP is on holidays

    Isn’t he gorgeous

    Four baby bluebirds
